Since graduating from Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Treacy Ziegler has been featured in over 35 solo exhibitions in United States and in Canada, including an exhibition at the Herbert Johnson Art Museum of Cornell University and the Arnot Art Museum in Elmira New York. An artist of intellect, distinction and compassion, she is the recipient of numerous awards and author of papers on art, identity, and philosophy, while also cited for teaching art to prisoners in solitary confinement. Working with both printmaking and oil paints, Ziegler constructs large images of fleeting light surrounded by darkness, resulting in subjective narratives for the viewer to discover and unravel.
