WESLEY WOFFORD

To view all works available by Artist Wesley Wofford visit artsy. Infatuated with creating hyper-realistic works as a young man, Georgia native Wesley Wofford’s artistic talents led him into the motion picture industry. Working on over 50 films of note, he is impressively the recipient of both Emmy and Academy awards, creating life-like animals and people in sculptural forms and developing new make up and special effect techniques. In 2002 Wofford refocused his career on his personal sculpture, work that allows him to have creative control of his art. Moving from the heights of perceived Hollywood glamour to the secluded mountains of North Carolina, Wesley is steadily producing a body of sculptural work that is evolving in physical size and aesthetic resonance.

Wesley Wofford, contemporary representational sculpture

I am looking for something, form and the human form intermixed-lines, balance, man as the larger abstraction. I want the viewer to feel the sculptor’s presence as they experience the piece.
