“Chévere”, Group Exhibition in collaboration with PoetsArtists Magazine

Visit artsy to view all works for sale. Join Sirona Fine Art on Saturday December 3rd, 2016 at 6pm for an extraordinary Artist Panel presented by Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine, featuring Artists Erin Anderson (who’s piece Felix Looking Forward, Looking Backward is on the cover of the November/December 2016 Issue of Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine), Jules Arthur, Alia El-Bermani, Santiago Galeas, Jason John, Author Ana Menéndez, Irvin Rodriguez, Victoria Selbach, Daena Title and Michael Van Zeyl. “Chévere is such a project, identified only as work “inspired by the Romance Languages of Latin America” curated by Didi Menendez herself a Cuban expatriate. The project, curated by Menendez and collaborator Sergio Gomez, manifests as an issue of Menendez’s Poets/Artists magazine, and as an exhibition at Sirona Fine Art in Florida, and online as an Artsy show. Some of the artists are from Latin America, others not. Therefore some of the artists draw on memory and experience of their own countries and peoples, and others on their encounters with cultures foreign to their own, and others still on imagination and images cobbled together from film and art and literature. The project becomes a great act of communion and empathy, a celebration of being together.” — Excerpted from Artist and Novelist Daniel Maidman’s piece on huffingtonpost.com Chévere’s intention is to break stereotypes. We will feature over 50 works by 40 national and international artists displaying figurative, narrative, environmental, emotional, street, poetic, and history depicting works.
